Growing Our Family

“A child born to another woman calls me mommy. The magnitude of that tragedy and the depth of that privilege are not lost on me.” This quote by Jody Landers sums up beautifully how I feel. By far, the best thing that’s happened to us this past year, is the adoption of our beautiful daughter. In November, Peter and I flew to Guangzhou, China to bring Samara home. For 19 years, we have hoped and prayed that the Lord would make a way for us to grow our family through adoption.  After witnessing miracle after miracle, we are overwhelmed at His goodness and faithfulness to place Sammi (our nickname for her) into our home. It’s an understatement to say that we are totally smitten with this incredible, 3-year-old little girl.
